Health & Social Care Supply Chain & Innovation – Industry Collaboration Summit

Event Overview

The Health & Social Care Supply Chain & Innovation programme, organised by Dorset LEP Business (now Business Growth Dorset) in collaboration with Brooks Kebbey was designed to support innovative businesses to engage with the health and social care sector and wider research and development community in Dorset, and to explore future supply chain opportunities that meet the health and care needs of Dorset’s population.

Programme Summary

The fully funded programme comprised of 3 events:

  • The Dorset ‘Prospectus’ (NHS Dorset's Joint Forward Plan 2023-2028) – Making Dorset the Healthiest Place to Live. This event explored the challenges and opportunities in strengthening the UK’s health and social care supply chains, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to discuss strategies for building a more sustainable and responsive ecosystem. January 2025.
  • Working with NHS, Social Care, and Dorset’s Innovative Universities – What Businesses Need to Know. This event delved into practical case studies, showcasing successful partnerships and emerging technologies that are shaping the future of health and social care delivery. Both sessions provided valuable insights and actionable recommendations for stakeholders across the sector. February 2025.
  • Dorset Health and Social Care Industry Collaboration Summit – The event provided an opportunity for collaboration between Industry and Dorset Health and Social Care, and to showcase health and care innovations. March 2025.

Programme Leadership

The programme was conceived by Shelley Collins-Trevett, Head of Business Growth & Inward Investment at Dorset Council (formerly Dorset LEP) and was designed and delivered by Brooks Kebbey.

  • The video provides an overview of the summit held in March at Bournemouth University.
  • Kevin Brooks gives an introduction to the aims of the event – bringing partners together to showcase the innovative network available for industry to plug into including presentations from local universities and the Dorset Integrated Care Board.

  • Regional and national partners are featured outlining the support and expertise they offer and emphasising the opportunity for collaboration.
  • There are highlights from innovators and feedback from delegates attending the event.
